Spent all day working on mom’s house. Scraped, caulked, de-spiderwebbed, new fascia boarded, taped, masked, and did I mention, sunburned?
The house tonight lies ready for morning paint. Hope that forecast holds and the wind stays calm!!
(Tuesday)
The weather held off and we spent all day yesterday….and Mom’s house is no longer grey. It no longer looks like a bomb fall-out shelter. Instead, it is beautiful white. We even removed the masking off a couple of the windows and front door by dusk! She hung her pink flower basket once more and the pink and green of that basket coupled with the wooden front door and WHITE paint was very attractive! Such an improvement! She came home from being gone the weekend and sounded like a kid when she saw it. Her eyes lit up, her mouth open, and she couldn’t believe it!! I was almost done painting so she got to see the last of the 2nd coat sprayed on. Today we’ll turn the foundation black and that will really sharpen up the look of her little place. Should look nice and tidy! We are all really happy for her!
